Ford has launched a car named Ford Focus priced at $28,000. It is a compact car but it is not an economy car. The price approaches a little like an entry level Lexus or Audi.

Ford Motor’s Q2 profit at $2.6 billion

Ford Motor has reported profit of $2.6 billion during the second-quarter, and is expecting to recover from debt by the end of 2011.

The company has earned profit of $4.7 billion during the first half of this year, and has outperformed in the US market.

Ford is on the way to earn profit of $7.2 billion, matching its profit figures during 1999.
