It was reported that approximately 3,500 Chileans in Utah, Nolberto plug in an hour to watch the operations in Copiapo, in the mining town in the Atacama desert.

Nolberto said, “Being so far away from Chile, it’s a moment you wanted to be there. Sometimes you think a miracle, but you think it’s not going to happen. I can’t explain the feeling when the first miner came out.”

Kiko Cornejo, who served six months of his LDS Church mission in Copiapo said, “The president said, ‘We’re going to get them out. We’ll never give up’.” “He was there for the Chilean people. The message is, never give up.”

Cornejo who is strong believer of God has believes it to be a miracle and the Chilean crisis was launched bearing two things in mind one being the 1984 fire in the Wilberg Mine and the implosions at the Crandall Canyon mine in
2007.

Julio Otay stated that questions are being raised in Utah with the Crandall Canyon disaster and will be easing the families for what actually would have been the cause of the event. However, it is stated that the history of records states that 33 miners survived 70 days underground.
