French Guiana sees rocket launch

South American nation, French Guiana has seen the launch of one of a loaded rocket. This is also having two communication satellites and will be reaching its orbit soon.

Known as Ariane5, the satellite is loaded with Inelsat 17. Together with these the satellite has the capacity to provide a wide range of communication that will be available in the countries of Europe, the Middle East, Russia and Asia.

Besides this, the rocket is also carrying with it HYLAS 1. With the help of this, high-speed broadband service is likely to be made accessible in remote as well as rural areas of Europe.

A mere 27 minutes after its launch, the rocket released its INTELSAT 17 for U. S.-based operator Intelsat.

At present the total weight of the satellite that has to be presented on the orbit is around just 8,000 kgs that comes to 17,600 pounds.

One must remember that Arianespace is the commercial arm of the European Space Agency that has 13 countries as a part of the group. Such satellites are of utmost importance as they are going to give Europe the technical edge that it wants.
