Labor Minister Set for Interrogation over L'Oréal Heiress Issue

The investigators of the L’Oréal heiress Liliane Bettencourt tax regime are likely to interrogate Labor Minister Eric Woerth, shortly.

The police have been given the approval of the federal authorities for the investigation and grilling of the Minister, considering him a witness in the case.

It has been alleged that he was indulged in illegal funding of a campaign.

His wife has already been interrogated in the beginning of the week. He said that he is comfortable with the move and will offer cooperation to the officials.

Although, he was given a clean chit after an official inquiry when he was designated as the Budget Minister of France, yet, he has not been able to escape the blames.

However, he has refuted the allegations ever since he was first accused. He has also been facing the blames of being involved in an alleged case of President Nicolas Sarkozy’s Reception of a handsome illegal amount from the heiress in 2007.

“I’m very well used to criticism. I am not a man to bow to pressure. If a prosecution needs to be opened before a court, it will be”, he said.

The allegations have tarnished the reputation of President Sarkozy.
