Blanc Axes All 23 World Cup Players

Blanc Axes All 23 World Cup Players

France coach Laurent Blanc decision to axe all the 23 of the players named in France's World Cup squad from the national team is reported to have received an approval from the French federation, the federation unveiled on Friday.

The players were named for their first match to be held next month. The coach's request was backed by the French federation in a view to collectively grant them a punishment for the devastating failure in South Africa that tarnished the team's reputation.

France faced an embarrassing elimination from the group stage at the World Cup, as it was unable to grab a win in a game.

The main crux of the whole problem insinuated when the players blatantly dropped to train, in a view to show their agitation after Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka was shown the doors following his launch of a verbal attack on Coach Raymond Domenech.

The decision has shed light on the nation's disgruntlement towards the unprofessional and unconcerned behavior shown by the players towards their country in South Africa.

A string of instances depicting unpatriotic attitude shown by the team has landed France in frenzy, with many politicians and legislators in the Parliament castigating the players and questioning the coach.
