Blanc Leaves out 23-Man Team in Upcoming Match against Norway

Subsequent to a terrible performance in the 2010 World Cup, the French national team’s coach, Laurent Blanc opted to suspend the 23-man team, which took part in the2010 World Cup. Majority of the players of the team had declined to participate in a training session at the conclusion of the 2010 World Cup. These players will not play for the affable match against Norway, in Oslo.

Blanc decided to exclude the entire crew as a kind of punishment on account of their objection, which took place two days prior to the final bout against South Africa. Because of France’s poor performance in the match, a lot of soccer betting enthusiasts lost out on their salaries.

According to a statement on the official website for the French Football Federation, “Laurent Blanc proposed to the federal council not to retain any of the 23 players officially selected for the World Cup in South Africa, for the friendly match against Norway in Oslo on Wednesday August 11”.

The statement said that Laurent Blanc will disclose the team for the match, on Thursday, August 5.

People are not pinning high hopes on the upcoming match, as a lot of the best players will not be taking part in the match.
