It has been reported that a French tourist fell into the 75 feet Grand Canyon near Mather Point. Hospital officials said on Saturday that the patient is now recovering gradually.
According to the witnesses, the 18 year old slipped and fell over the edge of the rim, when he was clicking photographs.
Carrie Heinonen, Spokeswoman of Flagstaff Medical Center, where the patient was taken after the incident, said that he was in a good condition.
The park service said in its statement that the 18 year old, whose name and home town has not been revealed, was being treated for wrist, neck and ankle injuries in the hospital.
Before the boy was lifted out by the park helicopter, park rangers first accessed him to save him and to see if he had got any major injuries.
After lifting the boy from the canyon, he was laid on the stretcher and was immediately taken to Flagstaff Medical Center by the ambulance, to examine his condition.
As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a shootout has taken place in South Sedan, which is known as the world's newest nation. Shootout took place at a meeting that was held at Unity State to end cattle dispute.
