Trichet: European Economy Marks Improvement

The President of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet on Thursday, shared some words on Euro zone economy, expressing his optimism relating towards the same.

Besides, he posted that bank stress tests in July was highly required and is serving as a strong base in restoring the market's confidence thereby, extending some momentum to the European economy.

In addition, he also talked about the European Central Bank, like the Bank of England decision to keep its benchmark interest rate at a record low level, uncovered Jack Ewing and Julia Werdigier in The New York Times.

It reported the present scenario seems to be rejuvenated, as earlier growth seemed to be insinuating in an unpredictable environment.

Also, some banks have done away with shelling out bulky premiums in a bid to lend money in the interbank money market, with the deals getting back on their initial path somewhat for six- and nine-month loans.

The recent comments made by Mr. Trichet reflect on a gradual drift from his earlier words like "high uncertainty" relating the economy.

However, this small shift is deemed to have emerged following the recent data, particularly from Germany that has shed light on improving European economy.
