Following the U.S. President Barack Obama's sanctions, that he has signed targeting gasoline supplies of Iran; the BP PLC has ordered all its European maneuvers not to refill Iranian airlines. Just when the Iranian media had aired that all airports at U. K., Germany and the United Arab Emirates have declined to refuel Iranian passenger planes, this prohibition came up by a Europe's leading aviation fuel supplier.
This was one of the most difficult sanctions that Obama had to sign, which led to BP's verdict. Prior to this, Iran was already in a motion to cancel the gasoline sales by Total SA (TOT) as well as an engineering venture by a Korean Company worth $1.2 billion.
It was on Friday, that the U. K. based oil Company, BP, had sent faxes to all its refueling stations across the European countries, including its partners. The Company is visibly under a dire pressure of U. S.
On the other hand, the Secretary of the Iranian Airlines Guild, Mehdi Aliyari, said, "Ever since last week, airports in these countries are not supplying fuel to Iranian airplanes". Plus, calling upon the International Civil Aviation Organization, he added, "The Iranian foreign ministry and government representatives abroad must solve this problem and take legal action against it".
