Reports of a hard-line Iranian newspaper stated that the first lady of France is a prostitute and she deserves to die as she has been supporting a woman, who was sentenced to death.
After Carla Bruni-Sarkozy sent an open letter in which she was supporting Sakineh Ashtiani, 43, the Kayhan daily newspaper released such a controversial report with the headline "French prostitutes enter the human rights uproar".
Case of Sakineh has drawn the attention of people all over the world. "This woman with a bad history supports an Iranian woman who has committed adultery during marriage and is an accomplice to the murder of her husband who is sentenced to death", said Head of Kayhan.
The officials of Iran have been criticizing the way the newspaper has represented the reports. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast talked to the reporters and said that the Islamic Republic does not approve the inappropriate words that are being used for the authorities of other countries.
According to the officials, media has the rights to criticize attitudes, comments and policies of other nations, even they can object them; but insulting a particular person by using blasphemous words is not the right thing to do.
A Spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry, Bernard Valero said in his statement on Tuesday that the comments of the newspaper were not acceptable.
As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a shootout has taken place in South Sedan, which is known as the world's newest nation. Shootout took place at a meeting that was held at Unity State to end cattle dispute.
