French Peugeot Citroen is hopeful about China and Latin America

French Peugeot Citroen is hopeful about China and Latin AmericaPSA Peugeot Citroen has said it is hopeful that its performance in China and Latin America is going to be better this year as compared to the last ones. The French automaker also clarified that whatever growth it saw in 2010 was because of the markets outside Europe.

During this period, the vehicle sales were up by 13 per cent to be at 3.6 million units. It further added that Russia is a high-potential country and it is eyeing on it after China and Latin American region.

Data given by Peugeot-Citroen showed that it was able to sell 39 per cent more cars and commercial units outside of Europe last year. This was higher than 34 per cent growth figure seen in 2009. And with each passing day it continued to get stronger, claimed the company.

For Peugeot, this comes as good news since it has been trying to have better international presence and sales ever since 2009. For achieving better sales, it worked on its pricing and also brought out newer models like Peugeot
508 for China alone.

That being the case, it is possible the Peugeot will be able to have 50 per cent of sales from outside Europe.
