A 23-year old southern Tasmanian man has admitted his fault for a concealed drug which it was packaged as bath salts and was sent to him from China.
In the month January in the year of 2009, the police had got the information regarding this new drug and they were aware that it was being sold in Hobart called "Israelis". And then all the packages which were sent to Mitchell John Campbell of Howrah were inspected.
During the inspection the police found that John was receiving frequently bags of white powder which were labeled as bath salts and empty capsules from Shanghai.
Finally police had a raid at his home and they found a three kilogram bag of methylcathinone and 500 capsules of different colours. It was found that all the capsules were filled with the illegal drug.
But the lawyer of the Campbell had argued in the court that his client was unaware that the drug was illegal and he came to knew about it while he was researching herbal highs on the internet.
The Supreme Court in Hobart was informed that he was planning to start his own small business and he came across a website entitled as Neo-Organic in China.
