One of the major chronic illnesses is the one related to the heart. The heart needs to be taken good care of for a long and healthy life. According to a new research conducted by the scientists of Edinburgh, it has been revealed that the test currently available for the checking of heart ailments has the potential to further damage the heart.
There is a mild test available which could prove effective in the blood testing process for those suffering with heart ailments.
This study has been confirmed after tests conducted on 2000 people. While the blood test, the protein that is checked is troponin. This troponin is released when the heart receives damage in a heart attack.
"Over recent years it has become clear that people who suffer heart pain but only small amounts of heart damage are at a very high risk of going on to have a larger, potentially fatal, heart attack if left untreated. This test will help doctors identify this vulnerable group of patients”, said Prof. Peter Weisberg medical director at the British Heart Foundation.
The heart needs to be taken good care3 of and there is a need to take up only the safest of tests for the same.
