With the sudden move by the city of Westmount to make it compulsory for every dog owner to carry a special identification has made it little tougher for the dog owners. Considering the security of the citizens, Westmount city has now announced the new cards to be carried by the dog owners, following which, the pooch lovers have finally come up with the immense criticism for the Westmount government.

Taking note of the entire criticism by the dog owners, councilor Lulham says the measure is for the safety of city workers and it would further confirm that no one is being bitten by the dogs with no identity. He also said that if the owners are carrying ID, the Public Security officer won’t have to physically examine the dog lapels.

With a lot already have been delivered to the dog owners on why the city is making it an obligation to carry the new card that will reveal the identity of the dog, still many dog owners who were interviewed by CTV Montreal were all lamenting with grief at the new requirement by the city considering the security of the citizens.
