This year not much people of Britain will be heading for holiday overseas and the ones who will be taking up travels, will not be issuing travel insurance. A recent research notifies the drop in travelling commenced by the British people.
The research conducted by AA Travel Insurance, found that 24% people of Britain will not get insured for travels. Also, 33% of the people of Britain accepted that they did not find it necessary to insure themselves before going on a holiday and 22% revealed that cost of insurance cover was not reasonable so they dropped the plan to take insurance for travel.
This year, the records showed a decline by 5.4% in the travelling overseas commenced by British people. More than 58% of the British people accepted that they will not be taking holiday overseas this summer. As per Michael Cutbill, Director of AA Travel Insurance, the money given out as a cover for insurance can be recovered from the NHS after the people returned from their holiday safe and sound.
The research also revealed that 11% of the Britishers assumed that the free European Health Insurance Card was an alternative to insurance, which provided mutual medical treatments in the European Countries. In fact, the EHIC only allows access to state-provided healthcare in all European Economic Area countries and Switzerland.
