According to reports, the Blue-Green Algae terror continues in the Edmonton and Athabasca region lakes and as result of which, the area health officials recently claimed that if the city residents, along with the health experts, fail to put end to the virus then the region would certainly suffer some incurable health complications.
However, the Heath Officials, along with the Alberta Health Services, proclaimed that currently the Grande Prairie Region was protected from the virus attack.
In the meantime, Dr. Kathryn Koliaska, AHS Medical Officer of Health for the north zone said that the poisonous vaccination pop-ups were the need of the hour because along with the human beings, the virus also became incurable for the animals.
On the other hand, the Alberta Health Services, for both the residents and their pets, too listed some precautions against the virus which included prevention from drinking the Isle Lake water, avoid summing and along the shoreline, stay away from blue-green algae.
Meanwhile, giving a brief about the tedious health problems caused by the virus, experts added that people who might have came in contact with lake water or consumed it for that matter, then they might experience some health problems like skin irritation, rash, sore throat, sore red eyes, swollen lips, fever, nausea and vomiting and/or diarrhea.
