Along with doctors, even nurses play a vital role in providing health care facilities. A mistake by any of the medical professionals can risk a patient’s life.

With the same knowledge, Lord Winston, the medical Professor and television presenter, has urged yesterday to the department to make sure that the medical professionals are efficient enough to take good care of a patient’s health.

In his statement, Winston has also issued warnings to the departments that the patients under medical guidance are at a potential risk from nurses with poor English.

He spoke the above statements in the House of Lords, while he was pointing direct to particular problems that patients in hospitals could face from the nurses, who generally join their duties from some former Eastern Bloc countries like Romania and Bulgaria.

“Communication between the patient and the professional is of vital importance”, he told peers. “We run the risk of losing it with this issue of nurses who can’t speak the English language and have been trained in a different way”.

Reports have confirmed that Lord Winston also took part in a debate upon issue like different training standards for foreign health workers. To support his side, he said limited communication has become an issue almost everywhere. Thus, being careful will help decrease the concerns in their own health service.
