Youth of England Ignores Sexual Health Tests

In the wake of the Sexual Health Week, the Information Standard revealed a statistical report, which claimed that 80% of the population belonging to the age group of 18 to 24 accessed internet to detect their sexual disorders.

The report also revealed that around 55% of the population of East England had never been through sexual health tests, even once. The report reveals the negligence of the young people in East England towards their sexual health.

Around 38% of the youth of East England believed that they did not need to undergo sexual health tests. The fact that the youngsters did not experience any symptoms of STI, made them ignored the necessity of going through the detection process.

As per the report, there were many people who suffered from STI but did not show any symptoms prior to detection; the aspect was supported by 75% of the youth of East England. In reference to the statistical report, GP Dr. Louise Newson, stated that, “Young people’s reliance on untrustworthy websites creates a misunderstanding of sexual health – this is a cause for concern”.
