As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a city councillor is suspicious over the branch responsible for handling enforcement ruling. The councillor is not convinced whether the unit will be competent at keeping the prices down in case the council elaborates the smoking regulation.

On the other hand, the administration persists that if a bylaw is introduced over prohibiting smoking at areas where mainly kids are present such as playgrounds, then it is not likely to outlay additional money.

David Aitkin claims that the enforcement of regulation will be relying on complaints, and they are likely to go on with doing what they are processing with peace officers at this point in time.

It appears like while experimenting with a novel bylaw or modifying an existing one, there is always a possible escalation. Councillor Karen Leibovici added that if you are concerned over a fresh and effective education programme, it majorly and frequently tend to spike the budget.

Leibovici was also curious to know whether the Churchill Square can be processed under the new bylaw, as children are regularly present there. But, at this point in time, the councillor has been informed that the said location is not included in the intended bylaw alteration. However, the council will go through a discussion over the matter on Tuesday.
