Do you know including fish in your diet can reduce the risk of strokes? Recently, a study has found that those who consume fish once in a week are less likely to be affected by stroke than those who consumes it once-in-a-while.

The result was drawn after examining 15 studies, which observed lifestyle of people for a period of 30 years. The researchers have informed that the fish contains omega-3s which lowers the risk of strokes.

It is estimated that every year, about 136,000 people die of stroke in the US. Stroke is normally caused by excessive drinking, smoking and overeating. Besides, high blood pressure is also one of the main reasons of stroke.

Although it has been found that the consumption of fish is beneficial in avoiding strokes, it is yet to be gauged as to how much should be the intake of the fish so that complications coming from it consumption could be avoided.
