GlaxoSmithKline Pharmacy To Pay Compensation To Ian Pharmacy

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmacy To Pay Compensation To Ian Pharmacy

A casual deal proved to be quite taxing for GlaxoSmithKline, a quite famous pharmaceutical company. Due to certain problem in their medicine, Warfarin, they asked all their chemists to get back that tablet which acts as a blood thinner for their safety.

Listening to the recall message, one of the Otara pharmacies, Ian Johnson Pharmacy took the company to court and asked compensation of the cost it has received in recalling the products from its customers. Initially, GlaxoSmithKline did not agree to the company demands, as for them, it was an ethical issue and there should be no compensation in that manner. And, the pharmacy further affirmed that they have not even signed any contract with the pharmacy of such kind that they would pay any compensation in that regard.

Court did not listen to GlaxoSmithKline arguments and declared them to pay compensation for the loss other party has incurred. Ian pharmacy was no less, they showed some papers which clearly indicated that they have signed a contract with them in relation to the compensation.

Judge clearly ruled out that any ethical or moral mistake should be dealt out by those who have committed the mistake.
