Raise Voice against Women Abuse

Raise Voice against Women Abuse

A campaign “Be more than a bystander” was launched in July, by Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) and BC Lions, in order to reduce violence against women.

Seeing the popularity of the noble cause, three more corporations have added their names with it, namely the City of Surrey, the City of Vancouver and Encana Corporation. And, it has also got media backing from Global Television, which will be acting as their media partner.

To teach new ways to tackle women abuse, they are planning to send BC athletes to 40 different schools, but before that, these athletes would be trained at a workshop where they would get help from women experts. Workshops would include ways to talk to children and how to approach them so they understand the way what to do when they come across domestic violence case.

All this would be shot in video which would be showcased during their matches and would be distributed across BC.

Surrey and Vancouver are trying to support the cause in their own style, as they would provide transitory advertising opportunity to the campaign organizers who could put pictures of still shots of the shot scenes of the campaign there.
