Testing to Increase the Success Rate of IVF Pregnancy

Testing to Increase the Success Rate of IVF Pregnancy

Although the advancement in technology has made it possible for the infertile couples to have their own babies naturally by using In Verto Fertilization (IVF), there are many who are not able to enjoy the bliss of becoming parents.

Scientific technologies are required to be updated so that it could serve its purpose of easing up the burden of the people. Therefore, with the hope of providing effective IVF pregnancy to the women, the researchers have come up with a test which would make it possible for a mother to conceive in just one round of treatment.

For the higher rates of successful pregnancies, the researchers have decided to check the abnormalities of the womb first and then to implant the fetus inside the womb of the women. The researchers are hopeful that by testing women earlier for any abnormality then they would be able to increase the success rate to 100%. At present, only 33% of the women are blessed with the IVF pregnancy however others are made to face miscarriage as their womb refuses to accept the fetus implanted by the scientists or doctors.

The idea of testing the abnormalities was provided by the experts of the Oxford University. They have been awarded by the US Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies. For testing the abnormalities, the researchers would be testing the chromosomes appearing together with telomeres. Moreover the mitochondria, where cells are collected, will also be checked by the researchers. It has been informed, “There are many aspects of biology that make up a viable pregnancy. Two other good candidates that may affect embryo competency are telomeres and mitochondria”.

The Chairman of the British Fertility Society, Tony Rutherford, is hopeful that the findings of the study would prove helpful in gifting the infertile couple with happiness. However, it is important to note that after the introduction of the tests to the women seeking IVF pregnancy, the couple would have to pay £2,000 for availing IVF pregnancy.
