James Paget Hospital Gets New Owner

The new provisional chairman of Galveston's James Paget hospital, which was recently tendered a warning regarding the standard of care, has persisted that the trust is steady on its way to recovery.

As per recent reports, it has come to light that Peter Franzen, the former local newspaper editor has taken place of John Hemming at the Trust. Earlier, Mr. Hemming resigned subsequent to his statement in which he made claims that he had developed into a political obstacle once he started facing calls for stepping down from an MP.

In the meantime, the hospital also kneeled down in front of two inquests carried out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Earlier during the day, Andrew Lansley, the Health Secretary claimed that though James Paget University Hospital is a good one, it needs to be more acknowledging and open regarding its failings.

While on visit to the Gorleston Hospital, Mr. Lansley took time out to convey the EDP that it is the responsibility of the whole of NHS to cry out loud in case they notice anything going wrong about the quality of care being provided there.

The high voltage tour, which had earlier been postponed from earlier during summer 2011, was scheduled all over again during an era of fluctuations for the James Paget, which followed hard on the heels of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections which it failed in recent times and with consequences of a third standing right at their doorway for next week.

Barely 24 hours after Chairman John Hemming quit his position, Mr. Lansley deeply acknowledged that the leadership of the hospital had long been way too slow to recognize and filter the issues that were raised by the CQC. However, he denied drawing into the conclusion whether or not he consider that Chief Executive Wendy Slaney should also be falling on her sword.
