The stir in the France over wrongful breast implant is not at all set to be settled down. Recently, the officials of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have warned that the clinics which used industrial silicone for breast implant in 2000 might be legally scrutinized for violating quality control.

It has been informed that in 2000 the officials of FDA conducted an investigation over the industry manufacturing breast implants. It was found that the silicone manufactured by the industry or factory was adulterated. For the same, the FDA did even issue a warning letter.

In the warning letter the FDA clearly mentioned, “May be symptomatic of serious underlying problems in your firm's manufacturing and quality assurance systems”. It has been informed that the adulterated silicone thus used is capable of leakage and of causing inflammation to patients.

It has been advised by the Health Minister of France that all those women who underwent through the knife of breast implant, with cheaper silicone, should get their implanted breasts removed. Some experts are of the view that the adulterated silicone could cause cancer to patients.

The French company Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) is going through serious scrutiny as authorities have alleged that the PIP has been manufacturing adulterated breast implants. A number of clinics have also been accused of maximizing their profits by using cheaper silicone for breast implants.

Therefore, women are being requested to get their implanted breast removed. However, if a woman shows reluctance in getting her breast removed then she should go through regular clinical checkup after every six months.

At one side the authorities of France are continuously raising warnings against the adulterated silicone and at the other side the British authorities are asking women not to be worried saying that the chances of them receiving breast cancer are negligible.
