Shelby American to Launch 2 Cars

As per reports, it has been revealed that Shelby American is going to launch its two cars at the New York Auto Show, which is scheduled to take place on April 4, 2012. It seems that after looking at the both the versions of the cars, it will be very difficult for people to decide which is one is better than the other.

First version of the Shelby 1000 that will be at display at the show will be a normal street version, which runs on normal pump gas and has 960 horse powers. Second car at display will be Shelby 1000 S/C off-road track version.

It will be having more than 1100 horse powers and has stronger connecting rods, crank, and pistons. Not only this, the cooling system of both the cars has been improved and engine boasts of a higher output unit.

As per the manufacturer, both the cars are based on the 2012 Ford Shelby GT500. The Shelby President John Luft said, “Carroll Shelby is a visionary who has pushed the boundaries of performance his entire life”.

The street legal version will be available for $149,995 and the track version will cost $154,995. However, it shall be noted that prices can differ.
