The decision was undertaken by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, which has set out the program to undertake more than 75 medical practices of the area.

It has been unveiled that the Center has declared that it will be funding a total of $60 million to improve the services of the primary care under the new Medicare reforms for the next four years. The program was introduced under the Health Care reform law of 2010.

The project has been specifically undertaken to improve the doctor-patient engagement. The project has been established in six more regions apart from the Cincinnati/Dayton area.

Greg Ebel, Executive Director of the Health Collaborative, stated that the introduction of the project will help the physicians of the primary care practice in a way, they wish to. This will further, help enhance their interest in treating their patients. Moreover, if interest is created, they will be able to deliver a much better service to their patient.

Apart from the introduction of the project, it has been revealed that the insurance companies will even provide funds for primary care.
