Diabetes is difficult to face and if it is accompanied by high blood pressure, then it can result into "hugely damaging" consequences, according to a leading charity.

In UK, recently an audit was conducted over the population of two million people; all suffering from Diabetes. As revealed out by the Diabetes UK, among this group of people, only half of them were having controlled blood pressure. Rest all were suffering from high blood pressure problems. The biggest area of concern for the charity is that this figure is similar to that of existing last year.

In this entire one year, no such action or prevention has been taken by the health department that could help in decreasing the number of such diabetes sufferer. All the diabetes sufferers who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure have been given no treatment. This has increased the chances of serious complications in them.

As said by Chief executive Barbara Young, "Given the link between blood pressure and diabetes-related complications such as stroke, kidney failure and heart disease, it is extremely worrying that half of people with diabetes have high blood pressure".

As a part of awareness programs, it is very important for the diabetic patients to know that high blood pressure can badly ruin their health. And therefore, they and their doctors should take all the necessary precautions for avoiding such a risky situation.
