Solar Flare to Occur Often Now

As per reports, it has been revealed that solar flare occurred on April 16. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory has complete details that occurred on the day. According to them, solar flare made an arch position before bursting into space at 1.45 pm as per EDT.

The solar flare cannot be said as the strongest one till date and was of medium density. However, it would not be wrong to say that the flare was quite a magnificent one and had an eye-popping display of magnetic plasma.

Scientists working with NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt were of the view that the solar flare was not intended to make its effect at any of the planets of solar system. They further affirmed that they have also prepared a video, which shows that plasma was hotter than 143,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

The temperature might seem to be too hot for a normal person, but it is actually quite cool for the sun. Scientists were of the views that the outer layer of the sun, which is known as the corona, has temperature between 900,000 and
10 million degrees Fahrenheit, and can increase further to millions of degrees.

The flare was found to be taking out at the eastern side of the sun and if the flare is to be measured in terms of strength then the current flare can fit into the category of C, M and X. The C-class solar flares are said to be weakest of the all and X is said to be the strongest.

So, it can be said that there was a mix of sun storms taking place on Monday. Mark Lane, who is director of the Palomar College Planetarium in San Marcos, said, “Eruptions like this will become more and more common as the Sun continues to 'wake up' while it slowly approaches the next solar maximum in early 2013”.
