Authorities Making Space for New Space Shuttle’s Arrival

It's time to make some new additions to the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum as the prototype space shuttle Enterprise will be soon making its way to the museum's attractions for all the New Yorkers and NYC tourists.

If you are curious to enjoy the scenario of the Space Shuttle Enterprise, which is scheduled on April 23 (when the shuttle will fly very low over New York City mounted atop a modified Boeing 747), then National Geographic brings you a chance.

According to schedules, the flight will take place between 9:30 and 11:30 a. m. The full journey will bring the shuttle over the Hudson River twice. Yes, the first time shuttle will fly at a very low altitude but experts say that the second time the shuttle will literally fly on the deck.

Also, there are reports that the flight has been scheduled to pass the Statue of Liberty, then Enterprise's new home, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Whereas the second trip of the flight will run from JFK to the Intrepid, which experts reveal could serve a big chance for the spectators to enjoy the best. The vehicle will start its second leg of journey by sea, and up the Hudson River.

But all those spectators, who would not be able to witness either of the episodes, can enjoy their experience with high-definition internet technology as National Geographic brings the chance.

National Geographic is hosting online "gigapan" views, featuring "ultrahigh-resolution, 360-degree pictures of each orbiter". With the help of the interface, visitors can click and zoom to see the space Shuttles section by section and that too without sending any fee.

As per schedules, The Enterprise will arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday and the vehicle will be brought to the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum by barge in June.
