Blackberry’s Latest Curve to Give an Upward Curve in Sales

Blackberry’s Latest Curve to Give an Upward Curve in Sales

After a long struggle in the world market, it seems that Research in Motion (RIM) has finally got the grip of the market. This is evident from the fact that the latest Blackberry Curve 9220 which has been launched firstly in India is designed keeping in mind the low-end users rather than its conventional high-end usability. The company has finally come to terms that, people in this region care less for security, push mail and seamless roaming but are more concerned about simplicity and messaging.

The Canadian company is hopeful that this strategy would surely help the sale figures. Although the new handset won't get any love from its previous fans, its main USP is that it is simple and user-friendly with a dedicated Blackberry Messenger (BBM) button and a built in FM radio, which is a first time seen feature in blackberry. Moreover, it only works on 2G networks and the camera quality is also not immense.

But that is the strategy that the company is taking by bringing in low end mobile phone that work on high end platforms. After India, the phone would be launched in Indonesia which is one of its most lucrative markets.
