Concern over Sudden Mass Deaths of Dolphins in South America

It has been reported that Peruvian officials together with scientists are examining the mass deaths of hundreds of dolphins at the South American country's coast. Recently, about 877 dead dolphins have been found in the South American country's coast.

The scientists have been studying over the reasons behind the sudden and mysteries deaths of the dolphins. There are a few who are of the view that some notorious virus might have led to the dearth of the dolphins.

During an interview, the Deputy Environment Minister Gabriel Quijandria was reported as saying, So far, it's the most probable hypothesis, and it isn't the first time it's happened. There have been cases in Peru, in Mexico, the United States”.

Experts are studying the dead dolphins to gauge the reasons behind the mass die-off of the dolphins. Gabriel Quijandria noted that the seismic tests produced under the water can harm the dolphins.

It is for the very first time when sudden mass deaths of dolphins have coincided with seismic work. The Peruvian officials are concerned over the sudden death of the dolphins. All measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the dolphins.

In the month of February rumors were aired about the death of 260 dolphins at the north coast of Peru. There are a few who are of the view that the cause behind the mass deaths of the dolphins would never be revealed.

However, it is important for the authorities to gauge the cause behind the sudden death of the dolphins as a number of innocent marine lives are at the stake of losing their life because of some mysterious and notorious bug. It is hoped that the cause behind the death of the dolphins would soon be found.
