It has been recently revealed in a report that there has been a rare species of an Amur leopard found in China. The picture of this splendid animal was released by the Wildlife Conservation Society recently. It has been said that this particular species is one among the critically endangered ones, and they live in the China- Russia border.

The cat was pictured at the Amur Tiger National Nature Reserve situated in the Jilin of north China. It is known that the species is particularly endangered with as many as 30-40 of them remaining in the entire world.

Camera traps placed in the wild have previously have given snaps of the animal. This is by a park that is focused on capturing these animals so that they can be conserved in their natural habitat.

There is need for combined efforts of the authorities as well as the locals to help in the conservation for the animals in the time to come. Hunting them for their costly fur and leather should be punished even more severely and the loopholes in the system need to be dealt with. There is need for conserving the animal in time before they are totally extinct and wiped off the face of the earth

There is need for the government to take a stand in this matter so that the animals are conserved in their natural habitat and they don’t have to bear the brunt of poaching by unscrupulous sources in the near future. It remains to be seen what sort of an effect the current efforts have and whether this shall help in saving the tigers in the time to come or not.
