As per recent findings, it has been reported that a mother continuously put bleach cream into eyes of her own daughter, due to which, she has permanently lost vision of her right eye.
It has been discovered that the 14-month-old baby was already having an eye infection at the time her mother Jennifer Mothershead put the cream into her eye.
Nevertheless, it has been reported that the baby was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in May 2011 following a head injury. Doctors who examined the baby suspected that the head injury was caused due to ill conduct.
After which, they called Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, who conducted an investigation into the case. Mothershead stated that her child was already having an eye infection since March 2011 and was given antibiotics and eye drops, but she didn’t comment on the head injury sustained by the kid.
However, the baby was not sent back to the mother, instead was kept in the state protective custody. The eye drops put by the mother were examined and was found that the drops contained bleach.
After a full investigation, Mothershead was arrested and accused of putting bleach into her daughter’s eye. The little girl has been sent to her father.
