It has been revealed in a recent report that NHS has been planning to increase the services of epilepsy treatment in hospitals in England so as to treat almost three times more number of patients.

As per the NHS, brain surgery undertaken as a treatment for epilepsy can exactly determine which part of the brain is being responsible for seizures being suffered by the patient.

It has been told by the team that seizures during the disease can cause the patient to experience an alarming situation. And brain surgery would not only help patients to bear the damage cause by the illness but would also help children to lead life easily, which often becomes erratic by the disease.

Further, the report has also found that the treatment would include specialist investigations and assessments, which would help in determining whether or not a patient is fit for the treatment. As per their statement, these assessments help to avoid epileptic seizure in almost 80% cases.

The data revealed by the NHS group has shown that at present, nearly 125 children are being benefitted from the treatment each year. It is being expected that expansion of the same would help almost 350 patients to tackle the disease by 2015-16.
