Cholesterol Patients Must Not Skip Their Medication

While there is no doubt that there are many who are prescribed medication for high cholesterol, a recent report claimed that in excess of 36% don’t take the medication regularly. This claim was made after a team from the British Heart Foundation surveyed 1,025 patients. Such patients are more likely to suffer from heart problems and that’s what one and all must be made to understand.

In the wake of the same, the British Heart Foundation (BHF) started a drive which would make people aware about the side effects of such callous behavior. "We want to remind people how vital heart medicines are - even if they feel well and don't have obvious symptoms. And we want them to know they can talk to us if they've got questions about their medications”, said Dr Mike Knapton, Associate Medical Director at the BHF.

There is need for one and all to understand that a lot can be improved in one’s life after they pay attention to what is being instructed by their doctor else they are more likely to face the dire consequences. Everyone’s health is very much in their hands and they must not overlook the severity of missing out taking their life saving medication.
