As per a recent research, it has been revealed that people who love to have organic food are quite judgmental by nature. I n order to prove this, study author Kendall Eskine from Loyola University in New Orleans enrolled 60 people.
Eskine divided the total number in three groups. The first group was shown pictures of organic foods, the second group was shown pictures of comfort foods like chocolates and cakes and the last group, which was control group, was shown pictures of rice, mustard and oatmeal.
After showing them such pictures, researchers assessed their moral judgment of participants. Some of the questions being asked by them were how much time they would like to given while helping a stranger.
After asking such questions, it was found that organic food group was quite judgmental about their view point. "There's a line of research showing that when people can pat themselves on the back for their moral behavior, they can become self-righteous", said Eskine, assistant professor of the department of psychological sciences at Loyola University.
It was found that organic food group volunteered 13 minutes to help a stranger, which was the least time amongst the other two groups.
