The team is of the view that with the help of crystals, there might be accurate predictions made before an eruption, which would be able to save a lot of property and lives in the time to come.

It would be a very positive step for the authorities as they might then be able to make changes which would be necessary for safeguarding people of the vicinity. It is essential that there is research done to find out more effective measures for the prediction of these calamities in the time to come. It shall be able to help people stay away from the risk of falling prey to these calamities in the future.

“They provide a record for what happens. If we know what to look for and how to read them, we can work out the processes that formed the magma and how long it took these processes to occur”, revealed Kate Saunders of the University of Bristol in England, lead author of the study.
