Vice President Warns Ghana Residents to Keep a Check on Their Lifestyle and Diet

In his recent statement, Vice President John Dramani Mahama has warned residents of Ghana to keep a check of their lifestyles and also the dietary habits. He advised that diet of the people should majorly include food that will help them stay healthy, even when they grow old.

He emphasized that as society is on a trend of modernization, they are even changing their lifestyles and also their dietary habits according to the trends. Instead of switching over to healthy diets, they have started depending on junk foods. On a whole, a change in lifestyle and diet is making them more prone to be affected by fueling diseases like hypertension, strokes, kidney and liver problems.

Rather, an increase in the number of cases of such deadly disease has been due to this changing trend. Moreover, while delivering his speech at this year’s Susan G. Komen Race for Cure of Cancer in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, he asserted that every individual is responsible for their health. It is an individual, who needs to initially take care of own health.

It has been reported that Susan G. Komen Race for Cure in one of the largest events of the world, which aims at spreading awareness regarding breast cancer.
