Calls Made For Women to Join Cancer Research Trek

While there is no doubt that Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life has gained enough name from one and all for its noble association with cancer research, it has been claimed that juts two weeks are left for women to get themselves registered for the same. As of now, 2,606 women have registered them for the noble event to be held at Lydiard Park, against the set target of 4,300.

While the race would happen on June 9 and 10, there are calls being made for women in Swindon so that more and more women are being made part of the same. Thus, all those who are keen to take part in the 5k women-only race should come forward and get themselves registered before midnight on June 7.

“Thanks to those women who have entered Race for Life in Swindon, but we still need more, so ladies rally all your friends, family and colleagues to enter with you”, said Kelly Rumble, event manager for Race for Life for Swindon, while asserting that support from women can make a hell lot of difference in raising funds for the noble cause.

There is need for one and all to understand the relevance of such noble events which are meant for those who are reeling under the scar of cancer.
