A recent report by Office of Fair Trading (OFT) study claimed that there are chances that as much as Half a million patients a year might have shelled out extra for private dental treatment. It was told that the reason of the same is that patients are not being told the required information and that’s what makes them choose inappropriate dentists.
It was told that as soon as the report caught the attention of one and all, some serious questions are being asked in the same context so that best possible services for millions of patients are being given in the UK. It is believed that it’s quite unreasonable to impose restrictions to make one refer to a dental care professionals without consulting a dentist.
There is need for some sort of checks and balances be placed so that one and all gets the best dental treatment under any condition. "All too often patients lack access to the information they need, for example when choosing a dentist or when getting dental treatment”, said John Fingleton, chief executive of the OFT, while claiming that this study has once again raised questions on the level of UK dentistry market. There is need for steps be taken to improve the current condition.
