Her job experience helped her to detect liver cancer in a 15 minute old baby boy Evan Wilson. Teresa Di Cosmo noticed swelling in the stomach of the baby, and got to know that there is something wrong with him.

When checked, it was found that Wilson was having lung cancer, which was taken out immediately. Evan Wilson’s family said that they cannot thank enough Cosmo, who saved their child’s life. Evan’s family said that Cosmo’s sharp helped to detect the cancer on time, and prevented to let it spread in the body.

Evan’s family came to meet Cosmo at Glasgow’s Princess Royal Maternity. Evan’s mother Lorraine and dad Scott said that they not only came to receive the report of Evan, but also to thank Cosmo. Lorraine said that she did not even know the name of Cosmo at the time of her delivery, but now they are good friends.

“I can’t describe how grateful I am. I’ll make sure Evan comes back to see Teresa when he grows up so he can meet the woman who saved his life”, said Lorraine.

Scott said that he till now gets goose bumps by thinking that if Cosmo would not have detected the cancer then their child would have not have been with them.
