It has been recently revealed in a report that having food rich in Omega 3 Fatty acids might be beneficial; or the people suffering from symptoms of blindness. There is need to understand this further, and make some more research and development so that proper methods of finding effective cures for the disease can be found.

“We're telling people that fish oils are actually a very good thing, and not only for vision loss. This compliments other studies on cardiovascular health and also mental health in terms of severe depression”, said Dr. Yves Sauve from the University of Alberta ophthalmology and physiology department.

It remains to be seen how more awareness can be spread among people about it so that they have a better outlook towards the need for nutritional food to be fighting diseases in the time to come.

There is need for maintaining the DHA levels of the body and this would help one in keeping fit and healthy for a longer time. There is need for doctors and nutritionists to make more and more people aware about the need for having a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle in order to lead a happy life.
