It was nothing less than a shock for the Bulahdelah community when they came to know that their resident doctor is working at Newington in the Sydney Metropolitan area. It was known that Dr. Habashy has been on a sick leave last year, but the community as of now is shocked to know that he’s working in Sydney.

A meeting is expected to happen between the Bulahdelah Hospital Auxiliaryand Great Lakes Council’s mayor and general manager so that the issue can be resolved once and for all. For the past 20 years, he has been working in the Bulahdelah community and that’s what has made one and all disappointed to the core. It is believed that the residents of Bulahdelah were under the impression that the doctor is unwell and would return soon to the town, but the recent news has certainly sent shocking waves.

While the final call is yet to be taken on this matter, there are reports that search for his replacement is being started by his employer, Hunter New England Health, who were apparently aloof to the slew of developments at the doctor’s end. It would be worth seeing who will take the place of Dr. Habashi in the time to come.
