US News and World Unveils Best Children’s Hospitals’ Ranking Report

In its recent reports, U. S. News & World has released their rankings of best children’s hospitals. It has been revealed that 10 specialties, including cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology, are there in 50 hospitals.

The list ‘Honor Roll’ demonstrated below recognizes those hospitals, which have been able to attain high scores in at least three specialties:

St. Louis Children’s Hospital, in US, is the seventh oldest hospital, which was established in 1879. The hospital has been well assisted with 250 beds, 3,000 employees, 700 medical staff members and 1,300 auxiliary members and volunteers.

The report has for the first time included Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the list for its pediatric center as one of the best in nation. It has been reported that the hospital has been ranked on No. eight slot in the honor roll.

Dr. Steve Allen, the hospital’s CEO said, “I think it’s a great tribute to the great work that the hospital staff, physicians (and) nurses do every day to provide for our patients and families”.

Further, it has been discovered that Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has been ranked on third position. Boston Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia tied for the first position.
