Western Sydney Public Health Warns Against Flu

In the wake of making one and all warn about a new strain of the flu, warning notice has been issued by the Western Sydney Public Health Unit. It was told that the strain which started in the Northern Hemisphere earlier this year is likely to be present this time in winter.

There is need for those with weak immunity to make sure that they do get vaccinated against the flu before time. There is special need for pregnant women to keep all the precautionary measures so that they don’t get affected by the flu.

“We are already seeing a rise in activity related to this new influenza strain and this will escalate during the winter period so now is the time to get vaccinated”, said Western Sydney Public Health Unit manager Dr. Vicky Sheppeard while asserting the need for flu vaccine at this time.

There are chances that the aged people might also be at an escalated risk of the strain this winter, which is making it all the more serious and scurry too. While flu vaccine is very much stocked up, there is need for people of all ages to get themselves vaccinated against the strain before it’s too late.
