As per reports, it has been revealed that June 9 will be observed as an annual Carstar Soaps It Up for Cystic Fibrosis National Car Wash Fundraiser day in Canada. The event will be organized in Oshawa at 815 King St. W., at Thornton Road, where the event organizers expect to raise more than $2 million.
The event has been getting better year after year and it will be the ninth year to organize the event. The car wash tickets can be bought at the Carstar Oshawa location, and with the purchase of one ticket, one stands a chance to win a prize.
Some of the top most rated prizes are an all-inclusive trip for two to Costa Rica, Apple’s MacBook Air or an iPad and a shopping ticket worth $1,000. For last eight years, the event has proved to be great for Cystic Fibrosis patients and this year seems to be an icing in the cake, said the event organizers.
This year’s theme is "objects of beauty" and people, who take part in the competition has to beautify their cars as per the given theme. "The funds raised through Soaps It Up are invested in life-saving CF research and care and help bring hope to 4,000 Canadians living with this devastating disease,” said Maureen Adamson, who is President and CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
