In order to encourage men to take good care of their health and take all the preventive measures to maintain it, June is being celebrated as Men's Health Month and June 11 to 17 is celebrated as Men's Health Week.

The month and week will try to raise awareness among men that they should seek all the preventive care and should be regular for screenings. It is very important for men to follow the right path that will taken them to great health, as young boys are looking at them as their role models. So, they cannot afford to be wrong.

Jeffrey Steinbauer, Director of Baylor College of Medicine's Family Medicine Clinic in Houston, was of the view that all the major problems take place when men start ignoring minor health ailments. They think that it is quite a minute problem, and will get fine on its own.

However, such is not the case every time, and there can be instances where a small problem turns into a health crisis. “A man who waits to see a physician until his problem has become more severe might need medical attention for a longer period of time”, further affirmed Steinbauer.
