While there is no doubt that cancer gas affected countries around the world, it has been found that there are many who are making efforts to ensure that there are funds raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care. On the same lines, Jane Acres, 49, is organizing a Blooming Great Tea Party. It is not for the first time that she is having such party as this is for the first time she would be doing this on July 28 at 21 Gardeners Road, Halstead.

There are expectations that a lot many would gather for the party which would include a barbecue, cream teas, face painting, a balloon stall, a cake staff and a raffle. All the funds raised would go into the charity which if known to provide free care to those who are terminally ill.

Meanwhile, there has been a similar party organized by clanmil Housing’s Cambridge Close. “Clanmil believes in promoting active ageing for tenants at our independent living housing schemes and events like this help them stay busy and involved as well as raising money for a very worthwhile cause”, said Liz Kay, co-ordinator at Cambridge Close,.

There is need for such efforts to be made again and again so that a lot more can be done for those who are battling with the disease.
