Every now and then, there is some case involving consumption of excessive alcohol along with prescribed drug which lead to hospitalization. Medical experts have always been adjudicating against the use of prescribed drug along with any type of alcohol.

There was a recent case when a 19-year-old man died after combining alcohol with other substances has raised the similar issue. There was another 20 -year -old man along with a 19- year- old woman who had to be taken to the Raigmore Hospital in Inverness from the same party. The pair was said to attending the RockNess festival, on the shores of Loch Ness.

After they both regain consciousness, the police would be interrogating the pair to reveal what else they took other than Benzo Fury, a legal drug readily available on the internet. After this incident, the doctors have also issued a warning regarding the potential dangers of Benzo Fury and other legal highs. The prescribed drugs have an adverse affect when combined with alcohol and other substances.

While speaking on this issue, Public Health Consultant Dr. Cameron Stark said, “Our advice is simple: limit how much alcohol you drink, and don’t take non-prescribed drugs”.
